According to the examination paper, Mathematics Paper 1 is scheduled for 2 hours and 15 minutes and follows the standard UCE examination format. The paper is divided into Section A and Section B, with candidates required to answer four examination items in total. Section A contains two compulsory questions, while Section B is divided into Parts I and II, from which candidates are expected to answer one question from each part.
The examination instructions also remind students that only silent, non-programmable scientific calculators and approved mathematical tables with formulae may be used during the examination. Candidates are also warned that any additional questions answered beyond the required number will not be marked.
Education experts continue to encourage candidates to practice with mock examinations because they expose learners to the structure, timing, and level of difficulty they should expect in the final UCE examinations. Completing mock papers under timed conditions also helps students improve their speed, confidence, and examination techniques.
Teachers have equally urged candidates to revise consistently, master mathematical formulas, and practice solving different types of problems rather than relying on memorization alone. Regular practice, careful reading of instructions, and proper time management remain among the most effective strategies for success in Mathematics.
As the 2026 UCE examinations draw closer, the Aceiteka Mathematics Mock Examinations provide students with an excellent opportunity to assess their level of preparedness, identify weak areas, and make the necessary improvements before sitting for the final national examinations. Candidates are encouraged to use the mock papers as a learning tool, discuss challenging questions with their teachers, and maintain a disciplined revision schedule in the weeks ahead.
